Personalized Learning & Cultural Responsiveness in the Classrom

It's not what you say, but how you say it. Being aware of diversity in all its forms is important when addressing certain situations. Using inclusive communication and language may be difficult at times, but there are tools that help teachers to reshape perspectives and learn about diverse living situations. Setting expectations and respect for diversity in all forms can be taught in the classroom by introducing books that address a range of family experiences, or presenting visual diversity, or keeping activities general.
